Types of Diseases That Occur In The Circulatory System

Types of Diseases That Occur In The Circulatory System  – There are many types of diseases that can attack the circulatory system in the body. We can’t stop it from happening. The circulatory system consists of the heart and blood vessels, including arteries, veins, and capillaries. The heart is the main organ of the circulatory system, with the function of pumping blood throughout the body.

If the blood flow is disrupted, the organs of the body will be damaged and result in complications of disease in the circulatory system. Here are diseases of the circulatory system and the risk factors that affect it:

Atherosclerosis

Atherosclerosis is a disease of the circulatory system in the form of hardening of the blood vessels. This disease is caused by a high-fat diet, which leaves fat deposits in the lining of blood vessels.

These fat deposits stick together and make the arteries tougher and less flexible. Atherosclerosis causes high blood pressure, which can damage the heart and kidneys, and even stroke.

Heart attack

Myocardial infraction (MI) is a technical term for heart attack disease. A heart attack is a disease of the circulatory system that occurs when the blood supply is cut off from the heart. Usually the blood supply is cut off from the heart due to a blood clot.

Symptoms of a person having a heart attack include chest pain, shortness of breath, feeling weak, and the emergence of extraordinary feelings of anxiety. The cause of a heart attack is coronary heart disease.

Angina

Angina is a disease of the circulatory system characterized by severe and recurrent chest discomfort and pain. This condition is caused by a lack of blood supply or oxygen supply to the heart muscle.

This is a complication caused by narrowing of the blood vessels. Angina is often considered a warning sign of an impending heart attack.

Cardiac Ischemia

Cardiac ischemia means the heart muscle doesn’t get enough oxygen to function properly. Heart ischemia is usually caused by narrowing or blockage of one or more coronary arteries, which are arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle.

A person with cardiac ischemia will usually experience angina-like pain and may feel as if they are having a heart attack.

High cholesterol

High cholesterol is usually caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and unhealthy diet. Some people are also genetically at risk for high cholesterol.

Everyone does need cholesterol in the body, but too much cholesterol can form a thick layer on the inside of blood vessels and will block blood flow.

Heart failure

Diseases of the next circulatory system, namely heart failure. Heart failure is caused by the heart not pumping blood around the body properly. This condition will cause the sufferer to be tired, short of breath, and cough.

Some people with heart failure have difficulty doing many things, such as walking, climbing stairs, or carrying things.
